Sakya Foundation is a non-profit organization founded as a vehicle to support and promote the institutions and teachings of the Sakya tradition. In addition to direction by Jetsun Kushok Rinpoche, the activities of the Foundation are guided by His Holiness Sakya Trizin and His Eminence Luding Khenchen Rinpoche.
The Foundation’s mandate is to engage in activities that educate the public about Buddhist philosophy and the Sakya tradition in particular. This mandate is currently manifesting in three principal activities:
* establishing centers of study, meditation and retreats outside of India;
* supporting nuns and monks in India and Nepal;
* the preserving and publishing dharma texts.
